I’ve been a Charleston local for a long time and have struggled with finding a place I enjoy. The Local Shoppe offers a unique mix of whimsy and professionalism that I’ve yet to find anywhere else. I recommend anyone who is in between barbers to book with Ava.

Walked in without an appointment & was greeted by Davis, an 'apprentice' who offered to give me a haircut (for free) if I trusted her to do it. I said of course and asked for a fade with cropped hair on top. Well, not only did she do an amazing job, she had a great personality AND the shop owner, Kelsey, was right beside us giving feedback and tips along the way! I can't say enough good things about The Local Shoppe, it's owner and it's staff. Incredible team and I was impressed in every way. Oh, and of course I tipped generously even though I wasn't allowed to "pay" for my haircut!
